Welcome back to Merivale High School and to our new students, welcome to Merivale HS!  We are hard at work to be ready to welcome our students for the first day of school Tuesday 5 September 2023.

Many of our students will use OC Transpo to get to / from school. Buses will drop off at the designated OC Transpo stops on Viewmount Drive. Please watch for students at all times.

If parents/guardians drive their student to school, please plan with your student to walk-a-block to access the campus. The crosswalks at Merivale Road are controlled with traffic signals and there is a marked crosswalk and four way stop at Grant Carmen. Reducing vehicle traffic around the school will make school arrival time safer for our students, OC Transpo buses, parents/guardians, and all of our neighbours, many of whom are senior citizens. 

Parents/Guardians: Please do not bring your personal vehicle onto the campus before or after school during the times of 7:30 am – 8:20 am or 2:00 – 2:45 PM. During the school day, all parking is designated for school staff only (upper campus and the lower lot by the portables).  Please do not block staff access to parking at any time.

For students who walk or bike to school, the bike racks are located next to Door C (across from the East Field). Please use the pedestrian path for safety and cross the driveway at marked locations. Thank you for walking your bike while on campus!
