2019 - 2020 Student Transportation Information
Bus Stop Finder, Presto SmartCards, Joint Custody Arrangements, Address Changes
ALSO on Aug. 27 & 28, there will be a Public Transit Training Session. Topics will include:
- How to use OC Transpo Travel Planner
- Safety features on the bus, train and at stops
- How to use a Presto card and Student ID
- What to do about lost Presto cards

Student Services Office
The Student Services Office is now closed but will re-open August 26th. At that time, counsellors will be working to address any timetable conflicts for returning and new students. 
Should students want to see a counsellor for an appointment, please visit the office after September 3. Surname assignments for Guidance will be slightly adjusted for 2019-20 due to the school’s increased enrolment

Grade 9 Welcome Event - Thursday, August 29th
Merivale HS Grade 9 Welcome Event will be on the morning of Thursday, August 29th! Please "save the date" for your grade 9 student to visit the school for welcome activities and a school tour. More information will be sent home via School Messenger over the summer! We look forward to welcoming our new students in August!

Report Card Distribution, grades 7-12
Intermediate Report Cards will be sent home with students on June 25, 2019.  Any report cards not sent home with students will be mailed out the week of July 8th. 
Secondary Report Cards will be mailed home the week of July 8th.  Any report cards that are returned to the school by Canada Post may be picked up the week of August 26th.

Experiential Learning @ MHS

Merivale's Grade 8 Tech Day and our SHSM students' Design Jam workshop at Algonquin College were both featured on the local Rogers TV program High School Happenings (HSH)! Check out the segments to learn more about how our students are integrating hands on and reach ahead learning experiences. Exploring what's happening in high schools across Ottawa, HSH is part of an OCDSB SHSM program hosted at Colonel By S.S. See video links here:
